Carson Pytell
Carson Pytell’s ‘Hate, Love, Hate’ is the second outing in an impressive list of chap books scheduled for release by Back Room Poetry, a newly-launched ‘small time, low scale’ DIY publisher.
I find Pytell’s poetry very relatable due to its dry sense of humour, something that is counter-balanced by a feeling of self-examination that both embraces and questions life, death and the unknowable.
There is also a tinge of sadness in the introspection and gentle philosophical ruminations of Pytell’s work, that much is clear, but I found myself drawn into a perceived back story that I’d very much like to learn more about.
This is a poet to watch.
